If you are new to continuing medical education (CME), your California Medical Association (CMA) team is here to help you! We understand that navigating the nuances and verbiage of CME may be confusing and have developed a curriculum to support you.
New CME Staff Orientation is a quarterly two-hour broad overview to provide new CME professionals with the value of accreditation and give them an overview of CME resources, core accreditation criteria, policies and the Standards for Integrity and Independence. To reserve your space at the next orientation on Wednesday, April 17, from 2-4 p.m., email cme@cmadocs.org. Note that participation is at no cost once annually per individual.
Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Academy is a valuable learning management system designed for all CME professionals. Multimedia, interactive courses and resources are designed to clarify everything from basic accreditation requirements to taking your CME program to the next level. Core curriculum includes newcomer’s introduction, accreditation tips, tools for integrity and independence, effective teaching and much more. Find details and information on the ACCME Academy webpage. All accredited CME providers have three free seats! Reach out to academy@accme.org or cme@cmadocs.org.
