October 29, 2025

What You Need to Know: CMA's Virtual Grand Rounds webinar — The Evolving State of Public Health: Vaccines, Advisory Groups and Other Emerging Issues — is now available for on-demand viewing at cmadocs.org/grandrounds.

The California Medical Association’s (CMA) special Virtual Grand Rounds webinar, The Evolving State of Public Health: Vaccines, Advisory Groups and Other Emerging Issues, is now available for on-demand viewing.

Originally broadcast on October 28, 2025, this one-hour webinar features a timely discussion on the shifting landscape of public health leadership and evolving vaccine recommendations in California and nationwide. Participants will hear from Erica Pan, M.D., MPH, director and state public health officer at the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and Rita Nguyen, M.D., assistant health officer and population health director at CDPH.

The conversation explores how changes at federal agencies and advisory boards are influencing public health priorities, the role of physician leadership in shaping immunization policy, and how California continues to respond to emerging infectious disease trends.

This free, educational webinar is part of CMA’s ongoing Virtual Grand Rounds series — a monthly partnership between CMA and CDPH offering physicians up-to-date clinical and public health insights. While CME credit was available only for live participation, the recorded session remains accessible for all interested clinicians and health care professionals.

Watch the on-demand webinar now at cmadocs.org/grandrounds.
