Free GME webinar to discuss ACGME requirements on Dec. 3

November 30, 2020
Area(s) of Interest: Physician Workforce

To grow and diversify the physician workforce, Physicians for a Healthy California (PHC), the Butte-Glenn Medical Society (BGMS) Residency Task Force and Paradise Medical Group have launched a free webinar series — “A Primer on Designing GME in Rural Clinical Facilities”— to offer innovative technical advice and solutions to meet rural California’s critical access to care needs.

Over the course of the series, physicians, practice managers and providers can expect to learn the foundational elements to design medical residency programs, as well as how to best position your clinical facility for success as a rotational site, continuity clinic, consortium member or part of an expanded residency.

The next installment — ACGME Requirement Changes in the Last Decade: What You Need to Expect from Residents Now — will be Thursday, December 3, 2020, at 12:15 p.m.

This webinar will provide an overview of the recent, extensive and comprehensive Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) changes made at the federal level to help gain a competitive funding edge.

Each one-hour virtual workshop will be presented by Kiki Nocella, Ph.D., MHA, and director at Wipfli LLP, a nationally renowned accounting and business consulting firm – unless otherwise noted. Nocella is a passionate advocate for GME and rural health care, and she has decades of experience, including a recent Psychiatry Residency Feasibility Study for Butte County and BGMS in July 2020.
