The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) will soon be direct-billing California Medical Association (CMA)-accredited providers for the 2026 ACCME Annual Accreditation Fee. ACCME will send an invoice to your organization in November 2025, with payment due to ACCME by January 31, 2026. This invoice will cover the 2026 calendar year.
Please note that the ACCME Annual Accreditation Fee is a separate fee from the CMA Annual Accreditation or fees associated with the reaccreditation cycle.
To ensure the ACCME billing process goes smoothly, make sure that your contacts in the ACCME's Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS) are up to date, and that you have designated the following types of contacts:
- Primary contact
- Billing contact
- CEO contact*
* The CEO will only be contacted if unable to reach the billing and primary contacts with questions related to payment.
PARS is designed for self-management. It is best practice to have your primary contact, as well as individual users, update their own information by going to Edit My Profile or via the Profile tab on their PARS dashboard. It is the responsibility of the CME provider to update PARS with CME program contacts. For more information on how to add or update a contact, click here.
CMA CME staff will only discuss your CME program with contacts listed in PARS. We encourage you to add everyone affiliated with your CME program as a contact in PARS. Contact types include:
- Primary
- CME Accreditation Committee Chair
- Medical director
- CEO
- Billing
- Staff
Reach out to cme@cmadocs.org if you have any questions.
