CMA CME Program: September administrative updates

September 02, 2020
Area(s) of Interest: Continuing Medical Education (CME)

The California Medical Association (CMA) continuing medical education (CME) program is excited to launch our new Accreditation Management System (AMS) with full PARS integration. Partners can submit all materials into PARS, rather than through Dropbox or flash drive, starting with the August 2021 cohort. Instructions will be provided as the date approaches.

This month, we are featuring Lupe Alonzo-Diaz, Vice President of CMA CME:

Lupe Alonzo-Diaz, MPA, is the Vice President of CME. She also serves the CEO of Physicians for a Healthy California (PHC), CMA’s foundation. Lupe has over 25 years of experience transforming health delivery systems, including serving as the Deputy Director of Administration for the California Department of State Hospitals, where she oversaw the daily operations of inpatient mental health facilities supporting more 12,000 patients. She has enjoyed her time with CME and finds that this has also helped her at home as she supports her children’s distance learning! Lupe looks forward to meeting you virtually at the annual conference.

Many thanks to our national partner, ACCME, for their continued support and alignment.

CMA CME staff are always available to answer questions via cme@cmadocs.org, and we look forward to our continued work as we ensure California remains a national leader in CME accreditation!

Sincerely,

Lupe Alonzo-Diaz, Vice President, CME

Juliana Hinch, Director, CME

Ann Engwer, Associate Director, CME

Dee Strowbridge, Coordinator, CME

Ariana Clark, Administrative Assistant, CME
