UnitedHealthcare introduces online portal for out-of-network provider enrollment

February 28, 2024

The California Medical Association (CMA) Governance Reform Technical Advisory Committee (GTAC) is hosting two townhall-style meetings for all CMA members. These meetings are an opportunity to discuss upcoming changes to governance policies currently under development or consideration.

Whether you're new to CMA and have never participated in governance activities, or are a seasoned House of Delegates (HOD) veteran, your involvement will help steer the future of our organization. These townhalls are your chance to learn more about CMA's governing structure, share your ideas and get answers to your questions.

Townhalls will be offered on:

Officer Elections, Vacancies and Succession (click here to register)

In our first townhall, we’ll talk about proposed changes to CMA Executive Committee officer elections and succession policy (for unexpected vacancies). We’ll seek feedback on:

HOD Meeting Structure (click here to register)

The second townhall will discuss the HOD annual meeting, providing information on the previous meeting structure. This is your chance to give practical feedback on the current and potential alternative HOD structures. CMA’s Governance Technical Advisory Committee is looking for member input to determine if improvements should be made to the current system or if broader reforms are needed.

If you cannot attend but would like provide feedback, please contact CMA Vice President of Governance Michelle Chapanian. Your input is valuable!
