Patient resources: How to help reinforce New Year's resolutions to quit smoking

Is COVID re-emerging as a threat? What about West Nile Virus this year? And isn’t there a new respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine?

Join us for the next installment of the California Medical Association’s Virtual Grand Rounds — Infectious Disease Updates from CDPH — to hear about the latest updates on COVID-19 from Erica Pan, M.D., MPH. Other experts from the California Department of Public Health will present information about mosquito-borne illnesses such as West Nile Virus and present the latest Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) updates including information about the new RSV vaccine and post-COVID rates of vaccine uptake in children and youth. The free one-hour webinar will be August 8, 2023, at 12 p.m. Pacific time.

Virtual Grand Rounds: Emerging Public Health Issues is a free and monthly series providing the latest patient management news and resources. The effort is a partnership between CMA and the California Health and Human Services Agency (CalHHS), with the California Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA) and the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California (OPSC).
