Each year, Physicians for a Healthy California (PHC) – the philanthropic arm of the California Medical Association – recognizes the outstanding achievements of California's health care professionals. PHC’s annual Health Equity Leadership Awards honor organizations, physicians, residents and students who have made a positive impact on the health of their communities through their unwavering commitment, compassion, and contributions to health equity.
PHC is excited to announce that nominations are now open for these annual awards, which will be announced at the Health Equity Leadership Awards Reception on September 14, 2023, during the Health Equity Leadership Summit in San Jose.
This year, we’ve added three new award categories to honor California medical students, residents and young physicians who have demonstrated their commitment to promoting health equity across the state. The awards are:
