We are excited to announce that the CME Accreditation Workshop and Annual CME Provider Conference will be held in-person in Sacramento this year. The Accreditation Workshop will focus on understanding the criteria and standards surrounding accredited continuing medical education (CME), while the Provider Conference will focus on big-picture strategic thinking and planning for your program. These are valuable professional development opportunities for CME staff and committee members.
Did you know that by investing in the professional development of your CME team, your organization can save money in the long run? Staff and committee members who have a deep understanding of criteria, standards and policies can ensure that their CME programs are able respond to the needs of physician learners while remaining in compliance with accreditation rules. This not only improves physician competence and performance, but also leads to fewer noncompliance findings at reaccreditation and fewer progress reports, which saves you time and money!
The California Medical Association (CMA) CME Accreditation Workshop on June 22, 2023, takes a deep dive into the Plan-Do-Study-Act Cycle, a keystone in adult learning. This workshop will be an interactive approach to learning, where CME professionals can learn from each other and come away with new approaches to enhance their unique CME programs.
While the Accreditation Workshop takes a deep dive into accreditation requirements, the Annual CME Provider Conference on June 23, 2023, provides a bird’s-eye view of the trends happening in CME at the national, state and local levels, and looks at legislation that may affect our work on the horizon. We will review a case study on how one provider has implemented the new Cultural and Linguistic Competency and Implicit Bias standards and the positive effect it has had on their organization.
These educational opportunities will only be available in-person, and space is limited. Make sure to register before the May 26, 2023, deadline. Register here.
