Please join the California Medical Association (CMA) in supporting SB 250, which reduces administrative burdens in physician practices so physicians can spend more time dedicated to patient care. SB 250—authored by Senator Richard Pan, M.D.— will comprehensively reform the prior authorization process, resulting in less time spent on administrative work, increased access to necessary care for patients and a restoration of the physician-patient relationship in medical decision-making.
SB 250 will be heard soon in the Assembly Appropriations Committee. It is important that Assemblymembers know that SB 250 will allow physicians to spend more time coordinating care with patients with chronic and complex conditions and increase access to care by seeing more patients.
