CMS hosting webinar series to educate physicians on the No Surprises Act

June 28, 2022
Area(s) of Interest: Out of Network Billing

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is hosting a series of webinars on specific No Surprises Act topics in the coming weeks. The next webinar will cover surprise billing, notice and consent, and enforcement. The webinar is open to all interested parties, and will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 1-2 p.m. E.T.

To register, you must first create a REGTAP account and then visit the REGTAP registration page.

CMS has stated that they plan to spend a significant portion of the webinar addressing questions from physicians and medical societies. While they will take live questions, they would also like to answer as many pre-submitted questions and address real life scenarios. To that end, the American Medical Association is collecting as many questions as possible before the webinar and will provide them to CMS so they can be prepared with answers.

Please send questions you may have about the NSA requirements to emily.carroll@ama-assn.org.
