Physicians for a Healthy California (PHC) has extended the deadline for its KidsVaxGrant program – which will award grants of up to $15,000 to support Vaccines for Children (VFC) providers providing pediatric COVID-19 vaccines. Applications will now be accepted through July 15, 2022.
Administered by PHC, the California Department of Public Health is investing approximately $10 million to fund the KidsVaxGrant program.
KidsVaxGrant supports providers for expenses incurred or to be incurred for enrolling as a VFC provider in myCAvax and/or expanding operational hours at their existing VFC site locations. Expenses covered include staffing and training (most common expenses), technology, infrastructure, supplies and equipment, as well as administrative overhead.
VFC providers can apply to receive $10,000 for enrolling in myCAvax between December 17, 2021, through July 15, 2022. Organizations can also apply to receive $15,000 per site for expanding operational hours to provide additional time options for working families (a minimum of 15 hours, outside of normal or existing clinic hours) within 60 days of the application’s approval.
To help providers with the application process, PHC hosted webinars to discuss the application steps, eligibility and answer live questions. You can watch the recordings below:
Grants are awarded on a first come, first-served basis, so early submissions are strongly encouraged.
