With value-based care rising in popularity across the nation, more primary care practices, clinics and community health centers are considering joining an accountable care organization (ACO). However, concerns about risk, practice readiness and limited resources are depriving practices and primary care organizations of the multitude of benefits that would come from joining a physician-led ACOs. 

The California Medical Association is hosting a webinar with partner organization Aledade to address any issues providers may have about joining an ACO. The free webinarThrive, Not Survive: Why Committing to an ACO Helps Your Primary Care Organization Thrive—is May 25, 2022, from 12:15-1:15 p.m.

In this webinar, participants will:

  • Review the physician-led ACO model
  • Examine the three most common concerns— risk, readiness and resources — about joining an ACO
  • Understand the benefits of physician-led ACO participation for patients, staff, physicians and practices
  • Discuss the experiences of primary care physicians who have joined a physician-led ACO
