Virtual Grand Rounds: Updates in COVID-19 and Novel Surveillance Methods

May 02, 2022

As cases begin to spread of the new variant of COVID-19, people remain wary of the possibility of a new surge. Will there be another spike in cases? If so, when can we expect it? Experts are using groundbreaking techniques, such as wastewater surveillance and dog-sniffing, to predict the trajectory of the disease spread.

Join us on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 12 – 1 p.m. for the latest installment of our monthly Virtual Grand Rounds to learn from experts about the epidemiology of COVID-19 and the novel surveillance methods used in understanding the dynamics of disease spread.

The 60-minute grand rounds webinars are free and open to all interested clinicians. Participants can receive 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Clinicians likely to encounter COVID-19 in their practice settings (e.g., front line physicians, nurse practitioners or physician assistants) are encouraged to join the monthly case-based presentations, which will include expert panel discussions and audience participation.

If you are unable to attend the live webinar, they will be available for on-demand playback at covidroundsca.org.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the California Medical Association and California Health and Human Services Agency.  CMA is accredited by ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
