Due to the ongoing public health emergency, the California Medical Association’s (CMA's) annual House of Delegates (HOD) will convene on Saturday, October 24, 2020, as a virtual event. The delegates meet annually to receive critical updates and provide feedback on the most important issues affecting members, the association and the practice of medicine. The CMA HOD consists of nearly 500 delegates elected by members of component medical societies, specialty societies, and CMA sections and forums, representing virtually every mode of practice and region of the state.
CMA is also hosting a two-hour virtual townhall on Friday, October 23 (6 to 8 p.m.) open to all members who would like to provide verbal testimony on the Major Issue Reports:
Members of the CMA’s councils will be in attendance to hear testimony. The two-hour block will be divided into two sessions, with an hour for each issue. Members can join and leave the meeting at any point.
If you are unable to join the virtual townhall, you can also provide written testimony via the discussion forum.
Educational webinars providing background on both of our major issue reports are accessible in the HOD discussion forum.
