CMA launches new survey to assess impact of pandemic on physician practice viability

September 24, 2020

In April, the California Medical Association (CMA) released the results of its first COVID-19 Physician Financial Health Survey, which found that 95% of physician practices were worried about their financial health due to the COVID-19 public health emergency. Now that we are six months into the pandemic, CMA is launching a follow up survey to reevaluate practice viability.

Please share your experience by responding to our brief three-minute survey no later than Thursday, October 1, 2020. This information will help CMA better focus our advocacy to support the financial viability and other needs of physician practices. Respondents will be provided with a copy of the survey results via email.

The survey will be sent to physicians separately with a personalized link, to ensure we are able to accurately evaluate the data. Check your email for a message dated September 24, 2020, with the subject line, “Brief Follow Up Survey: How Has the Pandemic Impacted Your Practice Viability?” If you did not receive an email and would like to complete the survey, please call CMA’s member service center at (800) 786-4263 or email memberservice@cmadocs.org.
