CMA pilots new digital townhall for 2019 major issues

June 21, 2019

The California Medical Association House of Delegates (HOD) meets annually to establish broad policy on the most important issues affecting physicians, the association and the practice of medicine. This year’s major issues—as selected by CMA’s Board of Trustees, Committee of Delegation Chairs, and HOD Speakers—have been posted at cmadocs.org/hod.

The 2019 major issues:

CMA is also piloting a new digital townhall for the 2019 major issues. The townhalls will provide an opportunity for members to voice their opinions on the major issue topics and provide guidance to the councils and subcommittees as they research these issues heading into October’s HOD. All members are welcome to participate.

Each major issue will be assigned an hour-long digital townhall webinar, during which council chairs and staff will be present to listen to members. Registration will be closed an hour before each Townhall is scheduled to begin.

To register for the townhalls, click on the links above. As these webinars are members only, you must be logged in to register. If you are unable to attend a townhall or would like to ask questions, please utilize our online discussion portal. Comments provided via the discussion portal will be given the same weight as those voiced during a townhall.

If you are encountering any issues with registering for any of the webinars, please contact Navdeep Dhaliwal at ndhaliwal@cmadocs.org for assistance.
