We are pleased to invite you to the 2018 California Medical Association (CMA) Organized Medical Staff Section (OMSS) Annual Assembly, Friday, October 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Sacramento Convention Center. The Assembly is the day before the CMA House of Delegates (HOD), which will be held October 13-14, also in Sacramento.

This meeting and educational conference is open to all physicians concerned about the role of strong self-governing medical staffs in improving patient care and safety. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about critical issues impacting medical staff governance and operations and network with representatives from medical staffs across the state.

The meeting will include educational sessions on:

• Reforming Peer Review to Improve Patient Care
• Case Study: Tulare Regional Medical Center
• The Future of Medical Staff Self Governance
• Major Issue: Health Care Cost Containment
