California will soon undergo a historic and ambitious transition to value-based care. Are you ready for this change?

Make plans to attend the 2nd annual CMA HIT Summit, "Health IT in the Safety Net," on May 7-8, 2024, in San Francisco to hear from experts about how to prepare for the coming changes to California's safety net.

Over the next five years, the Medi-Cal Program is going to invest $650 million to help small and safety net practices get ready for the transition to value-based care. The Equity and Practice Transformation (EPT) Directed Payment Program will combine technical assistance for practices with a statewide Learning Collaborative. CMA’s HIT Summit will get you up to date and ready for value-based care.

Speakers include:

  • Palav Babaria, M.D., MHS, the Chief Quality Officer and Deputy Director of Quality and Population Health Management at the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).
  • Jennifer Sayles, M.D., MPH, the Chief Executive of the newly established Population Health Learning Center in California. The Learning Center serves as the program office and technical assistance hub for the DHCS EPT Program, a five-year endeavor to support primary care practices in the Medi-Cal delivery system.
