The California Medical Association (CMA) CME team is hosting its Accreditation Workshop on June 22, 2023, followed by the Annual CME Provider Conference on June 23. Why It Matters
Having staff with a deep understanding of the criteria and standards surrounding accredited CME can save money in the long run. When staff and committees understand why the rules were created and their overall goals, they are able to synthesize this knowledge into competence. This competence will lead to more efficient implementation of activity requirements and positive outcomes during reaccreditation review, as well as avoiding additional costs of time and money due to interim reporting on non-compliance areas.

What to Expect
The June 22 Accreditation Workshop takes a deep dive into accreditation requirements. This workshop will utilize an interactive approach to learning, where CME professionals can learn from each other and come away with new approaches to enhance their unique CME programs.

The June 23 Annual CME Provider Conference moves to the next level to provide a bird’s-eye view of the trends happening in CME at the national, state and local levels, as well as a look at legislation that may affect our work on the horizon. We will have presentations from two organizations on how they implemented the new cultural & linguistic competency and / implicit bias standards and the positive effect it has had on their learners.
