At the close of the California Medical Association’s (CMA) 2015 House of Delegates, new governance reforms took effect. One of the most significant changes to the bylaws allows for the submission of resolutions for debate and discussion by members throughout the year. CMA opened its second quarter resolutions for online comment in February.
On March 18, the close of the comment period, member input was used to inform the Council on Science and Public Health, Council on Medical Services, and Council on Health Professions and Quality of Care, which then met and developed recommendations that will go before the Board of Trustees in April.
These council reports are now available online and open for further comment and discussion until April 19, just prior to the board meeting. If you have any feedback that you think would be critical for the board to consider, now is your opportunity to make your voice heard.
