January 22, 2024
California Medical Association (CMA) continuing medical education (CME) staff will be hosting a quarterly training for new CME staff and planners on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. This training is a broad orientation to provide new CME professionals with the value of accreditation and give them an overview of CME core accreditation criteria, policies and the Standards for Integrity and Independence, as well as key resources and tools.
CMA will hold its new staff orientations on the following dates:
- January 24, 2024; 2-4pm
- April 17, 2024; 2-4pm
- July 17, 2024; 2-4pm
- October 16, 2024; 2-4pm
This will not be a deep dive into the accreditation criteria or standards, which will be done in the Accreditation Workshop on June 20, 2024, but will help increase understanding of the accreditation requirements for new CME staff. We encourage anyone who has begun working within CME within the last six months to attend this course, including staff and committee members.
To reserve a space for this training, please email cme@cmadocs.org. (Note that each individual is eligible to take this training once a year at no cost.)
