June 14, 2022
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread across the state, we are now confronted by a new virus: monkeypox.
Join us on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, from 12 – 1 p.m. for the latest installment of our monthly Virtual Grand Rounds to learn from experts about the status of COVID-19 and monkeypox in California.
We will be welcoming back our state epidemiologist Erica Pan, M.D., who will share the latest updates about COVID-19, including information about vaccinations, epidemiology and patient care.
We will also be hearing from infectious disease expert Peter Chin-Hong, M.D., from U.C. San Francisco. Dr. Chin-Hong will discuss the emergence of monkeypox as a global phenomenon, as well as the epidemiology, signs and symptoms of this disease.
The 60-minute grand rounds webinars are free and open to all interested clinicians. Participants can receive 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Clinicians likely to encounter COVID-19 in their practice settings (e.g., front line physicians, nurse practitioners or physician assistants) are encouraged to join the monthly case-based presentations, which will include expert panel discussions and audience participation.
If you are unable to attend the live webinars, they are available for on-demand playback at covidroundsca.org.
