In April 2022, the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) released a new CE Educator’s Toolkit designed to equip continuing medical education (CME) professionals with best practices and guidelines to deliver effective education to their learners. This robust resource covers such topics as identifying practice gaps, writing learning objectives, identifying different methods for content delivery and more. The California Medical Association CME team encourages all CME providers to download the toolkit and refer to them when planning CME activities.
The toolkit was developed by the Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education through an ACCME research grant in fulfillment of ACCME’s strategic goal to advocate for research and scholarship in continuing education.
