Continuing Medical Education (CME)
By or before March 19, 2021, your organization is required to provide the California Medical Association (CMA) and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) with 2020 continuing medical education (CME) activities data and overall CME program through the ACCME’s Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS). In addition to year-end reporting requirements, please review your organization’s contacts and make updates to individual roles as needed.
For 2020, you are required to report descriptive information on each CME activity and overall program CME income. You must then complete the ACCME’s annual attestation, which can be found at the bottom of the program summary. Completion of these three steps fulfills year-end reporting requirements.
A short list of the reporting requirements can be found in our previous story on CMA Annual Reporting. Learn more about the requirements here and view PARS tips and resources here.
