CME surveyors wanted!

January 27, 2021
Area(s) of Interest: Continuing Medical Education (CME)

The California Medical Association (CMA) is recruiting continuing medical education (CME) surveyors to donate their time and expertise in exchange for the opportunity to learn from colleagues, gain knowledge and further improve the accreditation system.

CME surveyors can be non-physician CME staff or physicians who serve as a link between CMA and its accredited providers during the interview process. The surveyor is an advocate for providers who gathers additional information and clarifies evidence demonstrating required compliance.

Surveyors are expected to achieve and maintain a set of competencies, and they are requested to prepare for and complete 90-minute interviews. Interested parties will receive training, professional development and support, including face-to-face training, conference calls and webinars.

To nominate a colleague, a member of your CME committee, or yourself, please complete our survey or contact cme@cmadocs.org.

Along with providing Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education’s (ACCME) resources and ongoing training in 2021, CMA will host Surveyor Training Tuesday, February 16, 2021. Reach out today with your interest to become a surveyor or nominate a CME colleague!
