More than two million Californians have been impacted by power outages as utilities across the state shut off power to reduce wildfire risk amid high wind conditions. The California Medical Association (CMA) is working to help ensure hospitals, clinics and physicians can continue to provide care during these times.

CMA has been in touch with the Newsom Administration about issues stemming from the blackouts, and can be a conduit between physicians and the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES), which may have resources available for practices and patients impacted by the blackouts.
