Area(s) of Interest: Practice Management Payor Contracting

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) recently released an FAQ regarding its transition to a new fiscal intermediary vendor, DXC, scheduled for October 1, 2019.

As the California Medical Association (CMA) previously reported, DHCS signed a contract with DXC Technology to assume all fiscal intermediary duties. The contract with Conduent, the current fiscal intermediary, will continue to run parallel with DXC until September 30, 2019.

DHCS will provide regular updates on the Medi-Cal website, including capturing provider questions to update the FAQ. CMA will provide updates as more information becomes available.
