The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently hosted a webinar briefing about the recent cyberattack on Change Healthcare. The webinar is now available for on-demand viewing on the HHS YouTube page.

In the webinar, HHS Deputy Secretary Andrea Palm, along with leaders from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), provide insights into HHS's response to the cyberattack. CMS also offers an overview of how providers can apply for Medicare advance and accelerated payments. Additionally, representatives from UnitedHealth Group demonstrate how providers can apply for funding that the company has made available.

Practices with general questions for HHS regarding the Change Healthcare cyber incident or that are seeking access to HHS resources and support to help them enhance their cybersecurity posture can contact hhscyber@hhs.gov or go to the department’s new website—hphcyber.hhs.gov—which serves as a centralized platform connecting health care organizations to a variety of cybersecurity resources provided by HHS and other federal agencies. According to HHS, this new website will be a consistently evolving, comprehensive, and accessible hub improving access to information, programs and resources to enhance cybersecurity practices across the industry.
