Join California Medical Association (CMA) Continuing Medical Education (CME) staff for New CME Staff Orientation on October 11, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. This orientation will be a basic review of accreditation requirements and where to find key resources. We will review the core criteria, Standards for Integrity and Independence and policies, as well as resources on the CMA, Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and American Medical Association (AMA) websites. We will also direct new staff to templates that ACCME has developed to improve compliance.

This will not be a deep dive into any of the accreditation criteria or standards, but rather an overview of what the criteria, standards and policies are and where you can find more information to increase understanding for new CME staff.

We encourage anyone who has begun working within CME within the last six months to attend this course, including staff and committee members. To reserve a space for this training, please email cme@cmadocs.org.
