The California Medical Association (CMA) has published its first annual report on the new cultural and linguistic competency (CLC) and implicit bias (IB) standards.
Released in 2021, these standards offer guidance for accredited CME providers in meeting the intent and spirit of Assembly Bill 241, which is to incorporate CLC and IB training into the majority of CME activities, specifically those activities that pertain to clinical care of patients.
This annual report is compiled from the responses to the latest in our series of temperature check surveys. As a reminder, CMA uses these surveys to monitor adherence to the standards. We appreciate you taking the time to fill them out. The next survey will take place later this year.
