Reminder: Medi-Cal provider enrollment flexibilities have ended

April 03, 2023

Physicians are reminded that the California Department of Health Care Services has started winding down the provider enrollment flexibilities authorized under COVID-19 State of Emergency, which ended on February 28, 2028. Medi-Cal providers who were temporarily and provisionally enrolled as Medi-Cal providers who wish to remain enrolled must submit a complete application and meet all program requirements if they would like to continue treating Medi-Cal patients.

Providers will have until June 27, 2023 (90 days from the end of the waiver period), to submit an application via the Medi-Cal Provider Application and Validation for Enrollment (PAVE) portal. Providers who have not submitted an application by that date, will have their temporary enrollment deactivated effective June 28, 2023.
