Physician legislators to discuss state’s health care priorities at CMA’s Legislative Advocacy Day

February 22, 2023

Join us in Sacramento on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, for the 49th annual California Medical Association (CMA) Legislative Advocacy Day.

Attendees will hear directly from our physicians in the state legislature about the state’s priorities for health access. CMA will host a panel discussion with Assemblymembers Joaquin Arambula, M.D.; Jasmeet Bains, M.D.; and Akilah Weber, M.D.; with CMA Council on Legislation Chair Kelly McCue, M.D., as our moderator. The panel will join us to discuss the key issues facing California’s health care delivery system and the efforts they are taking to address them.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with legislators on priority health care issues. (Meetings will be scheduled and coordinated by your local county medical societies.)

This unique event is free of charge to all CMA physician members, residents and medical students. Plan to join your colleagues as they prepare to lobby their legislative leaders and serve as champions for the house of medicine!

(Registered attendees will also receive webinar training on legislation and policy affecting the practice of medicine on March 29.)
