Plan now for CME accreditation fees

January 26, 2022
Area(s) of Interest: Continuing Medical Education (CME)

In December 2021, the California Medical Association (CMA) notified providers that there would be a modest change to our continuing medical education (CME) Accreditation Program Fee Schedule in order to keep up with the increasing costs for services and inflation. This new schedule will be effective beginning February 1, 2022. You can access the 2022 Fee Schedule throughout the year.

CMA will begin sending out 2022 Annual Accreditation invoices in May. These invoices will be due in July. We want to remind you that CMA uses PayPal to process these invoices. When you see an email from PayPal, look carefully before you consider it spam.  Our invoices will have: “California Medical Association – CME updated your invoice (XXXXXX ),” in the subject line. The invoice number will always be six digits, while  the link for the invoice will be followed with a “Note from California Medical Association – CME”.

Finally, just a reminder that the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education Annual 2022 Accreditation fees are due January 31, 2022. If you have not paid your invoices by this date, CMA CME staff will be reaching out to you for follow-up in February.
