November 02, 2021

Los Angeles physician Hector Flores, M.D., a long-time advocate for the medically underserved, has received the 2021 California Medical Association (CMA) Dev A. GnanaDev Award for Membership, which recognizes special and unique efforts to promote the growth of CMA membership.

Dr. Flores played a crucial role in helping the Los Angeles County Medical Association secure a five-year agreement with the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in Los Angeles, AltaMed Health Services, which resulted in over 150 physicians becoming members in both Los Angeles and Orange County medical societies.

Dr. Flores co-founded and currently serves as the medical director for the Family Care Specialists Medical Group in East Los Angeles. In addition, he is the chairman of White Medical Center’s Department of Family Medicine and has more than 25 years of experience in medical education.
