Coding Corner: “Initial” vs. “subsequent” vs. “sequela” in ICD-10-CM coding

May 12, 2020

Starting this week, the California Medical Association (CMA) will be shifting to a twice weekly schedule for our member communications. Our Daily COVID-19 Roundup will become a weekly COVID-19 specific update sent out on Friday, and we will resume distribution of CMA Newswire on a weekly schedule (on Tuesdays).

We will continue publishing news articles in real time at cmadocs.org/news and we encourage you to visit the website regularly for more information.

And don’t forget, CMA also publishes a daily news clips every morning, which includes highlights of the day’s news. You can sign up to receive the clips, or any of CMA’s publications, at cmadocs.org/subscribe.

Future CMA emails after this week will come from news@cmadocs.org, so please add us to your safe senders list!
