The California Medical Association’s Institute for Medical Quality (IMQ) has opened early bird registration for its Stepping Up to Leadership conference, to be held in San Diego, March 10-11, 2016.
This program is widely recognized as the “go to” course for acquiring knowledge and skills to successfully lead a medical staff. Offered in conjunction with the University of California, San Diego, Physician Assessment and Clinical Education (PACE) Program, the program was developed in response to a commonly expressed need for better, more practical hands-on training for medical staff leaders.
Topics covered include communication, problem-solving, handling disruptive or impaired professionals, effective meeting management, and improving outcomes for patients and staff. The course also will teach collaboration and team building between the hospital and medical staff, how to minimize stress and avoid burnout, aging physician policies and a legal update on current issues of importance to California physicians.
The program offers unique hands-on and interactive learning opportunities and excellent faculty in a beautiful, relaxing San Diego location. Thanks to a generous grant from the Physicians Foundation, this course is offered at prices significantly lower than other courses.
If you are a department chair, chief of staff, committee chair, or in any active position on a medical staff, you don’t want to miss the upcoming program. This is a great chance to network with colleagues and enhance the practical skills you need to succeed!
Special early bird pricing is available until February 9. For more information or to register, click here.
