CMA House of Delegates
CMA’s House of Delegates (HOD) convenes annually to debate on the most important issues affecting members, the association and the practice of medicine. The CMA HOD consists of more than 500 delegates elected by members of component medical societies, specialty societies, and CMA sections and forums, representing virtually every mode of practice and region of the state.
Dates: Held annually in October, and rotates between Sacramento and Los Angeles.
CMA Presidental Gala
Each year, CMA hosts the Presidental Gala to recognize and celebrate the incoming CMA President.
The prestigious black tie event brings together 500 guests for an evening filled with elegant dining, engaging conversation, entertainment, live music and dancing.
Dates: Held annually in October, during the CMA House of Delegates.
CMA Legislative Advocacy Conference
CMA's annual Legislative Advocacy Conference brings bring more than 500 physicians and medical students to Sacramento so they can meet with their legislative leaders as champions for patients and the practice of medicine. Legislator meetings are scheduled by your county medical society, and pre-conference advocacy training is provided to attendees.
Dates: Held annually in April.
Network of Ethnic Physician Organizations Summit
The Network of Ethnic Physician Organizations Summit is an innovative educational event for physicians, public health professionals, health care advocates and community leaders that offers policy and best practices for reducing health disparities, building diversity in the workforce and increasing cultural competency in clinical care.

Medical Group Advocacy Symposium
CMA's Medical Group Advocacy Symposium is an exclusive, invitation-only event where California’s top leading health care industry experts come together to discuss the future of health care.
Sutter Health Equity Symposium
CMA is a co-sponsor of Sutter's Unconscious Bias in Healthcare Symposium. The insights and strategies explored during this one-day event will inform evidence-based recommendations and a framework to guide the development and implementation of effective, measurable unconscious bias mitigation strategies.
