2024-2025 Councils and Committees

Nominations are now closed.

The CMA Board of Trustees, via its Committee on Nominations, is seeking recommendations for CMA member physicians who are interested in and willing to serve on its standing Councils and Subcommittees for 2024-2025.

All current appointments expire at the conclusion of the CMA House of Delegates in October 2024. New appointments will begin their terms at that time, with the new terms expiring at the conclusion of the 2025 House of Delegates.

Councils and committees meet as needed, with up to four (4) meetings per year via teleconference and potentially one (1) in-person meeting.

Please note that current members who are eligible for reappointment must submit an application for the 2024-2025 term. Even if you previously submitted an application and there are no changes, you must complete the online form. This form includes optional, but requested, information regarding diversity and demographics, per Board action.

Applicants must read and agree to accept the Councils and Subcommittees Purpose and Member Responsibilities.

Due to this requested personal demographic information, applicants are encouraged to fill out their own forms; however, applications submitted by a third-party are also acceptable. Applications may be submitted with or without endorsements, but if an endorsement has been made, it must be stated explicitly.

A candidate may only apply for three (3) Councils and/or Subcommittees. (Note: You may see a warning on the website once you have selected all three, but you will still be able to continue with the submission.)

In developing nominations, we urge special consideration for recruiting the talent and experience of your younger colleagues, as well as physicians from communities or groups historically underrepresented in medicine, who will bring new perspectives to the Association’s policy-developing committees.

The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, June 17, 2024.

All nominations must include:

  • Completed application form (must be logged in)
  • CV (less than 5 pages)
  • Statement of Interest
