Academic Practice Forum

The Academic Practice Forum represents the unique concerns of physicians practicing as part of a medical school faculty.

The forum ensures that issues important to academic physicians are considered during CMA's policy development process and in the legislature. The forum is also dedicated to keeping California medical school curriculum free from legislative mandates. Other areas of interest to the Academic Practice Forum include adequate graduate medical education funding as an ongoing priority to ensure training programs to produce enough graduates in time to meet the near-term or long-term primary care needs in California.

CMA forums elect delegates that serve as representatives to the House of Delegates (HOD) and provide input on resolutions submitted during the year-round resolution process.
