LOCATION: Sacramento             

DIVISION: Physicians for a Healthy California (PHC)

EXEMPTION STATUS: Exempt                     

REPORTS TO: Program Director

SALARY RANGE: $66,4560-$82,400

Position Summary

The Program Analyst is a full-time position reporting to the Program Director of the CalHealthCares Loan Repayment Program (LRP). Under the supervision of the Program Director, this position will provide analytical support to the LRP program and its Advisory Council.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Research state health care workforce shortages
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis
  • Develop and update policies and procedures on grant administration
  • Conduct literature reviews to stay relevant on health care workforce shortages
  • Review applications and accompanying materials for completeness and accuracy
  • Develop application scoring criteria
  • Monitor grantees’ progress via complicance reports
  • Draft internal and external reports regarding grantee progress 
  • Evaluate awardee progress reports in comparison to approved budget
  • Serve as internal subject matter expert on statutory requirements and funder's policies and procedures related to grants, funding, and audits
  • Track and monitor budgets and financial expenditures 
  • Draft internal controls for ensuring appropriate use of funds
  • Author and update materials based on feedback from advisory groups
  • Write quarterly progress reports

Knowledge/Experience/Education

  • At least three years in analytical functions
  • High school diploma; bachelor’s degree in related field preferred 
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel and occasionally work nights and weekends
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Word
  • Demonstrated skills in quantitative and qualitative analysis, including statistical analysis
