Open Positions

Governance Coordinator

The Governance Coordinator works closely with the VP of Governance and Director of Governance to coordinate supporting or ancillary tasks related to Association governance. Creates rosters, tracks terms, processes reimbursements and travel requests, formats resolutions and reports, manages work calendar and team reminders, assembles meeting materials, coordinates meeting logistics, updates policy compendium, posts items to the website and tracks events and involvement through database management, and provides both behind the scenes and direct customer support to the Governance meetings.

Coordinator, Continuing Medical Education

The California Medical Association’s (CMA) Continuing Medical Education (CME) program oversees the accreditation processes for approximately 200 accredited providers, as well as providing its own program of CME for physicians. The CME Coordinator performs a variety of administrative and programmatic support functions to support the department and reports to the Director of CME.

Practice Transformation Specialist, PSO

The PSO is looking for a Practice Transformation Specialist to work closely with its partner, Aledade, to help facilitate transformative change within community health centers (CHCs). As a Specialist, you will conduct frequent virtual or (permitting) in-person visits to your assigned health centers, assisting the physicians and their staff with transformation plans to shift into value-based care, improve quality, and identify opportunities for increased practice efficiency. In addition, the Specialist will help CMA-PSO develop its practice transformation process and tools, aimed at building practices’ overall capacity for ongoing and sustainable change to high-performing medical practices.

Legislative Advocate

The Legislative Advocate advocates for CMA before the Legislature. In addition to communicating CMA’s positions on legislative proposals, this position requires analyzing legislative proposals and assessing its relationship to CMA policy, overseeing the process for establishing official CMA positions on proposed legislation, and coordinating the advocacy strategy on legislation.
