TITLE: Program Analyst – Physicians for a Healthy California (PHC) CalMedForce GME Program
LOCATION: Sacramento

REPORTS TO: Program Director
SALARY RANGE: $66,560 to $82,400 annually
Position Summary
The Program Analyst is a full-time position reporting to the Program Director of the CalMedForce Graduate Medical Education (GME) program. Under the supervision of the Program Director, this position will provide analytical support to GME program and its Advisory Council.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Researches state health care workforce shortages
- Performs qualitative and quantitative data analysis
- Develops and updates policies and procedures on grant administration
- Conducts literature reviews to stay relevant on health care workforce shortages
- Reviews applications and accompanying materials for completeness and accuracy
- Develop application scoring criteria
- Monitors grantees’ progress via compliance reports
- Drafts internal and external reports regarding grantee progress
- Evaluates awardee progress reports in comparison to approved budget
- Serves as internal subject matter expert on University of California policies and procedures related to grants, funding, and audits
- Tracks and monitors budgets and financial expenditures for the GME program and program awardees
- Drafts internal controls for ensuring appropriate use of funds
- Authors and updates materials based on feedback from Advisory Council
- Writes quarterly progress reports
Experience/Education
- At least three years in analytical functions
- High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel and occasionally work nights and weekends
- Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Word
- Demonstrated skills in quantitative and qualitative analysis, including statistical analysis
